Love the ZL1 and considered one to replace my 5th Gen Z/28 but decided on the 2SS/1LE I have now. No envy here - this 1LE will do EVERYTHING you want on the street and still be a monster at the track for the average driver.

Of course the ZL1 has WAY more power - but how much of it can you actually use on the street and if you aren't going to track either car, why spend another $15-20K?

NOTE: The auto trans in the ZL1 is a model only feature vs the 1LE so if that is important to you, then the ZL1 is the answer regardless.

Up to you and I'm definitely not knocking the ZL1. It's sick.

But for what it sounds like you want and how you will use, the SS/1LE will exceed those expectations in spades.
