The 10L90 in the ZL1 has only been good news, from what I've seen. The 10L80 in the '19 SS and other models isn't as great for power handling when you start modding. It is the Ford reference design with a GM sticker on it. Check the Mustang forums for why the 10R80/10L80 has its' own issues making it a dog.

If GM offered a buyback for 2SS owners that got them into an '18 ZL1 for 10k more (~16-18% discount on ZL1), I wouldn't think twice and I'd be much happier. The eLSD and 10L90 are what make the ZL1 amazing. I'd probably sell the blower and intercoolers for NA mods. =)
