On a A8 it wouldn't matter as much because of the tighter shift extension especially combined with a stall converter. the engine will stay up in the power much better. So Prochargers work better on the A8's.

No Lift shifting will resolve that drop. It will hold the RPMs at 6400 and the boost will not drop much at all. Granted still not as fast as the auto shifting but wayyyyy better than just granny shifting it to where the RPM's drop to 4700.
