The A8 P1 cars run respectable and even better with a stall converter. Centri blowers build boost with RPM linearly, so tight shift extension helps tremendously.
Now don't get me wrong the bigger Prochargers such as the D1x and F1a are nasty but I would rather have a Maggie 2300 or Whipple 2.9 over any of the entry level Centri kits. The bigger Prochargers are also going to require some fuel system upgrades to take advantage of their power capability. Then you are approaching the point where, do you change the cam and pistons for fuel headroom and reliability? It's a rabbit hole for sure.
That being said Prochargers are the easiest to install and return to stock, so that helps with their popularity. However Magnuson offers a 3yr 36k mile powertrain warranty with their base system using their tune.
I suggest spending a good amount of time researching this topic then decide from there.

OP, find a local tuner that has procharged LT1s, I promise you a professional will be able to add 150 hp easy. I have my charts on here somewhere....
with my entry level vortech, wich competes with procarger entry level, I went from base dyno 411whp/420 torque, to 620whp/572 torque, same Dyno of course. so anyway you slice it the power gains were impressive. Procharger should do just as well.
