I agree with this. I installed my Range AFM as soon as my car got home from new. I also had the fluid changed from Dexron HP to Mobil 1 LV at 1000 miles before I ever experienced any shuddering. And I just bought HP Tuners to zero the slip tables soon too. But once it shudders, that TC is going downhill fast IMO.
