Torque Converter Shudder with 1500 miles - Fluid Change or TC Change??

So I have a dilemma...

My car has about 1500 miles and I have the torque converter shudder. I took it too the dealer and they first told me they would need to do the flush and fluid change per the TSB.

After arguing with them they agreed to skip that and do the torque converter change but needed to order the part. After weeks of back and forth, the part is in.

Here is my dilemma....

Do you think my mileage is low enough that the fluid change would fix my issue? It probably didn't start until I was over 1k miles. Do you think the torque converter has permanent damage?

What concerns me is researching the amount of things that need to be removed from the car just to get to the torque converter... Seems very excessive.

Truth be told, I honestly don't trust the dealer doing that job and am hoping to take the least "invasive" route to get this fixed.

Whst are your thoughts...
