Yes, I know the RS is an appearance package for the LT, but non-RS LT's are extremely rare. And Camaro's naming scheme has historically been confusing, so why not?
Or they could even call it a z/28, since the ZL1 1LE is already a track car. Again, confusing compared to previous generations, but w/e. The nameplate is technically still free.

I'm all for it being called a Z28. In fact the Z28 was the lower cost model. And you could get a stripper in the 4th gen. The SS was for the guys with money
