I think they should simply call it the "Camaro RS" and give it a stripper V8 with the 2019 LT's font fascia. I think it would sell well and appeal to potential Challenger buyers and 5th gen hold-outs.
Yes, I know the RS is an appearance package for the LT, but non-RS LT's are extremely rare. And Camaro's naming scheme has historically been confusing, so why not?
Or they could even call it a z/28, since the ZL1 1LE is already a track car. Again, confusing compared to previous generations, but w/e. The nameplate is technically still free.
