You can format 64 and up GB USBs to Fat32 drives (CPL can do it) but the extra space is wasted. I have not seen NTFS reliably on my '16 SS but maybe it works now. I have not tried NTFS on my '18.
I like the tiny USB ones the best as mentioned before, they do not stick out.

I'm using a 128 GB in the car with no issues at the moment, file system is NTFS also.
