The best way to buy a car, in my experience, is from the same dealer as before, and order exactly what you want from the factory, so no regrets later.
Also, if you already have a daily driver, make sure the dealer knows you want the Camaro but don't NEED the Camaro.
Make an itemized list of the configuration you want and make a reasonable offer. Get the "out the door" price in writing and don't buy dealer add-ons, especially NOT gap insurance, which, if you feel you need it, can be added to your collision insurance for a fraction of what the dealer will offer.
