I fully expect that Matt would have replaced both high flow cats with offroad connection pipes from Kooks. There is nothing else downstream of that, other than dents in the pipe.

No, we didn't replace the connection pipes. I'm running a full catless Kooks header (it was a catted header, but we blew em out and cleaned it out) into a stock mid section into a Corsa Axle Back. There has to be a 2nd set of cats somewhere. Matt text me just now and said that is prob left over cat stuff from the original blow out, but I'm trying to figure out the life of me how it got through that crimped part. Seems impossible to do so.
