DEXRON-HP Automatic Transmission Fluid (GM Part No. 19331925, in Canada 19300537).

If you really want the good stuff that GM uses for the transmission flush when some have problems with transmission shudder, use this. You will need enough to fill and drain a couple of times. It is expensive but the results are good. I changed to it in my A8 Z06 and couldn't be happier:

Mobil 1 Synthetic LV ATF HP. It is approved and licensed by General Motors against DEXRON® HP ATF. It is warranty approved.

There is nothing wrong with Royal Purple if it meets GM specs.
