I can't say for certain that it's a fix, but there's no current way of knowing. there are reports of people that have had theirs replaced, and the problem returned, but why. We don't know if they just didn't get the updated tc, or if there are other issues. Knowing what I know about how tc's work, and how this car is tuned for the v4/v8 transition, and how this tc itself is made, I will say that it isn't a permanent fix until I'm proven otherwise.

This I do know: I had a triple flush at 10,758. according to my build date, I should have had the new fluid, also flushed with the new fluid. the problem slowly faded over the next few hundred miles, but came back with a vengeance. at 12,925 I got another triple flush (why, I don't know). I had to drive the 200 miles, but the problem never went away, not even almost. I gave it a little more time just to prove a point. at 13618 I got a new converter. At every flush, and tc change, they say they put the controller into learn mode, and that the shifting may be a little off while it learns how I drive again. after the tc change, my transmission was like a new animal. The shifts were crisper. there was no hesitation anymore. I don't know what they changed that time, but I'm having a hard time attributing it just to a better tc.

I don't know if that change to the shifts/etc is what did it, or if it's the fact I haven't let my car go into v4 mode at all since the tc change. I'm at 16543 right now and the issue is non existent. I wish there was some way I could pull the data off the tcm to see if they did change something, but I don't know how without spending the dollars on the software, and even then I don't know if I can without unlocking it/paying for the credits.
