IT IS NOT A RECALL. Sorry, for the caps but tired of this happening.

If it does not say recall, it is not a recall.

Service Bulletin = Recommend service or action to be performed or a simple notification of a change or issue with a vehicle to include things as simple as an updated sticker for the vehicle weight because of an error from the factory.

TSB = Technical Service Bulletin = A recommended course of action for a repair for a common issue found on a vehicle. This is not a recall! this is simply a " hey we see this alot and we've found a way to fix it"

RECALL = Voluntary or enforced by the federal government. Recalls never expire although they can run out of parts and no longer be performed. ( EX. 1981 Chevy door hinge recall. They ran out of hinges 10 years ago. No more recall. They are required to keep parts for a certain amount of years ) If you have a recall on your vehicle you will receive notification by mail. GM typically sends out post cards and possibly a letter. Recalls are only for safety concerns. Examples: Gas fumes in cabin, Brake line failure, steering wheel falls off, ignition shuts off, car can come out of park, etc...

I hope this clears things up a bit

Experience = 15 years in car business.
