Just had my oil changed at the Chevy dealership and was asked if I wanted to have the 30k major service. I said no thanks because I wanted to check the owners manual again and this site. The Manual says 45k. I know that it depends on my area and driving habits. My camaro is a daily drive and I live in congested LA. I have 32k and the vehicle runs great. I was told the 30k service runs $1,350. That seems outrageously high but am I wrong? Any major work to my cars, I have my own mechanic. The service rep said part of the high cost is changing the fluid and work on the rear differential. I Need a reality check and crap detection.
