Our ZLE's adventures into accelerated tire wear!

After a handful of years of drought, RWD daily driver has returned. The aging auto-x car was sold and with that opening 1LE will slotted right in. New set of wheels and tires were sourced for daily duty. MMR 716 with Michelin PS4S. I dont particularly like pointy bits that protrude beyond lip of the wheels at spoke ends - much prefer stock style that is smooth all around. I'll keep my eyes open for stock set.

Oil has been changed twice to date, rear diff oil changed once. Car has been flawless to date. As much as the engine can heat soak, the SEATS heat soak like a mofo. Whatever beads they use for air flow, also contribute an absurb amount of heat towards you as they "cool" you. Almost feels like the heat is ON. Pay attention how you park or invest in a sun shade.

After years of swapping wheels without any need for any tools ( car stored two profiles ) this GM and its need to get reprogrammed each wheels swap is bit of pain in the neck. Only takes few minutes, but I believe activity that could be completely eliminated with better programming.

Android auto works pretty well to date. Glare off the carbon dash insert is somewhat annoying and may be replaced with stock suede looking or leather covered part.

Video from this weekend auto-X - very long course, averaging nearly 1 minute.

Still exploring the digital nannies menus and trying to figure out to get off the line with some wheel spin without bogging. Next event Aug 5th.

See you at the track!
