The real questionable procedure that I see sometimes (didn't look too closely at this thread, so not calling anybody out) is when some guy posts his mileage results and shows either "instant" mpg or the last 25/50 miles. If this had been a longer trip, I'd have logged the entire trip. Got a 750 mile trip coming up this weekend - will be fascinated to see the long-distance results.

Yeah, the "instant" mpg for what you are doing right at that exact moment can be a hoot. Take your foot off the gas and watch it go up to 90 mpg, LOL...
