My nephew is into these and now that he is a Major and no kids, he is looking to roll one soon. I'm sure we will do the intercooler, turbo?, chip, downpipe, CAI upgrade for some stupid HP. That's OK I'm doing a full built + supercharger on my "stock" SS.
The TTRS in stock form leaves a little to be desired, HOWEVER, it does not take much to turn them into hell on wheels.

I had the previous gen. TTRS and with just an APR Stage 1 tune, MSS springs (to dial out the understeer), and extreme performance tires (RE-11, Advan Neo AD08r) and a camber adjustment, it was no joke.

The biggest thing that the TTRS lacks is the ability to put a wider tire on there to really be able to increase the lateral g's.

While the TTRS used the Halex AWD and not Quattro, It gets the job done quite well. With a stage 1 tune, extreme performance tires, and the nannies off, I used to be able to take a 180 degree U-turn from a stop light and go full throttle and get just a mild 4 wheel drift and just take off quicker than you knew what just happened.

From a stop light dig, I caught many sport bikes off guard.

If it wasn't for the $30K price difference, I would have chosen the new TTRS over the 2SS 1LE and put a little into it.
