I agree completely. You are the first person I can recall seeing that has brought this point up. I think the way I worded it previously was that Ford went too far in tire choice and gave up too much to get the PP2 to 1LE levels of track performance. I think it is safe to assume it will be right there with the 1LE on lap times, even though we don't have any test data yet.
In the end of the day though, stock v stock is the name of the game in here and Ford offers the PP1 for those that want a more street friendly car.
Their offerings are just odd, to me. You have 2 track choices, one is pretty expensive from a strictly performance per $ stand point, and the other has such wide rims and aggressive tires that it is even less street friendly than the more expensive, more attractive offering. I think the '19 GT350 gets SC2's now too, so my last point may be moot.
It is just a weird lineup to me.
