If you're changing out pistons and rods I would at the very least run a higher viscosity oil.
Factory clearances are generally tighter than what most shops can do.

And again since you're swapping pistons & rods I'm assuming you'll be racing it more frequently than GM intended. Your main bearings will see that punishment. So i'd also go with higher zinc.

I ran Zrod oil in my last built motor. Also on my LT1, since I religiously beat on it during weekends.
