When I put my new cam with 32% lobe, the vendor and I were both surprised at how much fuel had to be take out of the injector. I spent a while making sure I was getting a full stroke. So the stock lt1 pump really can supply a whole lot of fuel if shimmed correctly with a bigger lobe cam. My thinking is there is a good bit of slop on the stock fuel lobe to pump..
