20x10 is the common standard for square... yes, track rats will chime in..
20x10 23mm poke the wheel out 21mm front and 22mm back. Which is pretty much flush. There are so many pictures here of that type of setup or similar.
If you really want them inside the fender the only choice is 20x9.5 25mm. That brings them in 8mm front and 7mm out back.
If you look at my pics I have 9.5 wide wheel with 25mm offset. They are 19" though...
If you are going to lower, 285/35 is too big. Need to drop to a 285/30. Of course I am talking about 20" sizes here.
19 inch is different...and the width you choose effects size choice as well.
I can see why some do not like the extreme tires that poke out but those are track setups.
Too me a 20x10 23mm is the sweet spot, right on the fender.

Thank you for the reply.
And the knowledge.
And it’s obvious about needing to be the same - but I guess I got so lost into the wheels sticking out that I forgot that.
So the 20x10 + 25 is flush perfect?
I think I could handle that. Not sticking out at all. But right there flush??
I know it sounds nit picky - but don’t went to spend $$ and not like what I buy.
Think I’ll go to the next cars and coffee and look at some cars and see if anyone has similar setup I’m trying to arrive at.
And I think that 9.5 +25 would be great. Got to find the right wheels in that size then.
Thank you.
I’ll check out your pictures now.
