I think Bloomberg overplayed what Jonas actually said. Jonas said that GM is already reducing the number of car offerings, and adding utilities and trucks. He never said they would go as far as FCA or Ford. He also pointed out that the auto companies are suggesting to Trump administration that if there continues to be two sets of regulations, expect the car companies to continue to walk away from "conventional" (ICE) cars in favor of vehicles that meet California standards (EVs). California standards are adopted by 16 other states, amounting to more than a third of all US vehicle sales. |
My bad on the Kilauea story. I walked across it when I was 16 (August 1977). It erupted in September that year.
