Been looking at them for awhile. I personally know several guys with their tune on Cruzes, and ATS's and one friend with a 2018 3.6 camaro. Well last week his car came in on the hook with what turned out to be a freak cam break. After pricing things several ways, GM decided they wanted the engine for inspection, requested a write count screen shot, and shortly after, they authorized an engine replacement. Obviously they did not see anything funny. I know GM can detect their write process, but it is much more involved, and Ive only ever heard of them doing it on higher end cars (ATS-V ect, ect)
Im not even close to ready on giving up my warranty at 3800 miles. I think I will get more enjoyment out of the 480$ Trifecta tune, than anything else I can possibly buy. Plus I get the added benefit of some trans tuning with out all the TCM hastle. This obviously is only meant to sort of "hold" me over, until Im ready to ditch warranty.
Thoughts, opinions, straight disgust at the ideal?.
