Not to mention, your lt1’s call for 5w-30. Our trucks call for 0w-20. We have a lot of oil burning problems with 0w-20 combined with afm. I switched to 5w-30 personally and I went from burning 2.5 quarts between oil changes, to burning 0.25 quarts. So this guys truck, assuming he used 0w-20, probably saw a lot more oil actually get to the valves then you guys do.
