I don’t want to be that guy, but why can’t you stance a camaro? I find sports cars look good with a little stance!!

I've been driving smaller-engine cars for a very long time, and have had a blast with them, so I don't judge anyone here that wants the V6, or even the Turbo 4.
This is great. I’ve driven small engines my whole life. When i see basically 300TQ coming from an I4, I’m stoked! Why? Because of weight. I don’t consider the V8 a sports car because the equilibrium between power and weight has shifted to the heavy side.

Comparing performance numbers of the V6 to anything or using 'fast' in the same sentence is a little much. The car looks great, that's about it. You're also loosing out on the great sound. I personally can't justify buying a sports car that looks the part but sounds like a Prius on start up and putters along on the highway.

Enjoy what you got, but don't try to turn it into something it's not.
What is it not? The V6 model is about 200 pounds lighter than the V8 model. The V8 is the pony car, and the V6/I4 are sports cars. Why? Because they’re balanced. The power and handling are in balance which makes an incredible sports car. I don’t see how you can say the V6 and fast don’t belong in the same sentence? Do you simply drive in a straight line? Stick me in a V6 and you in a V8. With the same tires and suspension I will certainly outrun you on a twisty mountain road. Why? Nimble is a trait of lightweight cars. The smaller engine cars are nimble while the V8’s are powerful.

Everyone doesn’t seem to understand the millennial perspective on cars. “Why are they running around with those tiny fart cans and big turbos?” Im starting to understand now. I heard this earlier. The most effective way to make a car faster is not to add power, but to reduce weight.

You get all that power out of a 6 or 8 and you’ll have a much more nimble car. This isn’t 0-60, power to weight ratio, or any of that paper bogus. This is what the car feels like to drive. This is why the japanese cars were so fun, and the germans have messed around with this too. The camaro is built on the most capeable handling platform yet, so I don’t see why everyone is so against the handling versions. Calling the camaro a muscle car is an insult to its potential.

Some of us like the sound of the V6 better as it sounds like a precise performance engine verses the V8 which sounds like a dirty beast. I think it’s all a matter of perspective!!!

The crazy thing is the younger crowd LOVES the sound of the turbo 4’s. Especially with the sneezing from the blow off. To be honest, I think it sounds kind of cool. Being able to feel the boost come on, and hear all that PSI released when shifting can be quite satisfying. You need to be able to view your camaro as a sports car though, and the people who lived through the muscle car era aren’t as able to see it that way
