I have an SS, I would have no problem getting a V6 for a daily. To each their own, but I am a V8 guy(have had 7 now, and I started driving 16 years ago), but you don't always need a V8. Although I DO think it fulfills the Camaro heritage, it isn't necessary. If most of your racing will be an autocross course, V8 won't even do much for you since the Miata guys are the ones running a ton of them anyway.
