That’s one of the cool things about Camaros (and Mustangs and even Challengers), there’s a combination for just about everybody. Have to think about what your most likely uses and gotta have options are. For me, the gotta have features were V8, convertible, and HUD
If you’re gonna track the car, the decision is easy. Get a 1LE and keep it moving. That or get a ZL1. For me, the most important element was I wanted a convertible. So that narrowed it down to SS or ZL1. At the time I didn’t expect I’d track the car much, if at all. Even though I have tracked it, I’m still good with not going for the 1LE. The 2SS has more capability than I’m likely to get out of it.
If I was in the OP’s shoes, trying to decide on a coupe...2SS or 1LE, and I was certain I wouldn’t track it, I’d get a 2SS, maybe change the wheels out to the 1LE wheels. I’d keep the 2SS tires, though. I probably wouldn’t bother wrapping the hood. Stripes or hash marks, maybe. But that’s just me. Everybody’s different, and I’m sure there is a combination that just sings to the OP.
