Most of those aftermarket cars do nothing but dyno runs and the occasional highway pull or drag pass. They are a nightmare for traction and how many times do you think they can be pushed before a total rebuild is needed? Even then, the only thing they are good for is straight line.

The Vette is supposed to handle well. The Z06 was already annoying for professional drivers to handle on track with 650 HP. The 750 HP in the ZR1 will be somewhat tamed by aero, but it will still be well beyond what an average human can really use. At this point, you are just asking for numbers for numbers sake. The actual benefit to the end user is nil, and will make the car more of a headache to cope with. Especially if the owner actually uses it for what it was intended, ie not bragging about your dyno numbers to other hard parkers at Cars and Coffee.

There's such a thing as diminishing returns. At that power level, you would really need AWD to make proper use of it, this would add weight, complexity, more things to break... I could go on and on.
