When I complained about this issue the dealer immediately thought that I was feeling the hill start assist (holds the brakes momentarily to keep the car from rolling back, even on automatic models). I told them that the hill start assist was not active when this issue was happening. They basically dismissed it and I haven't taken it back for this issue since. I'm just waiting for it to get worse or it finally fail before I take it back in. Good luck with GM customer assistance, the reps can sometimes be infuriating to deal with. Keep us posted on how it goes. These 8 speeds are trash, glad the 2019 + models will have 10 speeds. Wishful thinking, maybe if it does fail they'll just put a 10 speed in lol jk
What you all need is a good class action lawsuit to force GM to retrofit the 10L80 10 speed.

Corvette and Camaro are one thing, but they've put millions of A8's in GM trucks. (2017 - 585,864 Silverados)
