I'm guessing either depth should be OK for our cars; might be an issue for pinch welds that aren't as tall. Not sure if the wider width would have any negative effect on stability.

.385 is plenty wide with lots of room, Id go with these. Or to be sure quickly measure all your other cars pinch welds. Just keep in mind you will need pucks tall enough to clear the Camaro body panel. Take a close look at my pictures.
I have 3/8" to 1/2 " of clearance.
