It looks like MRT tried to get rid of the flat pipe too by replacing it and the hanger. They probably also cut out your AFM valves if you have NPP. The problem is, the flat pipe is in there to clear the braces on the convertible.

On my '16 SS convertible I cut the pipes 4 3/8" from the junction of the flat to round part of pipe. These were directions according to Borla.
