My meter is at 16% and it is only 2700 miles since being changed.
So I know the % left goes by revs mainly, so if sitting in stop and go traffic it for sure won't last long. Plus you are burning more oil with zero miles.

I tried to find some info on the oil life meter logic but was unsuccessful. My understanding is it takes several parameters into account to determine the oils ability to lubricate effectively. If your at 16% with only 2700 miles, something isn't right, unless you track your car. I would check the color of the oil if it still looks kind of new, something is wrong with your oil life sensor, if its real dark in color your oil life sensor is working and your oil needs changed.
