"Secondary cat delete" and yes. Pretty common. My buddy did it to his '17 ZL1 and I wouldn't say it increased much of anything, perhaps a little bark on startup and a little more rasp/volume everywhere else. I'd go for a full Cat-back or Axle-back + Borla 60606 X-Pipe if you want a full system, personally.
