I run around with a handful of guys up here in Dallas with 1000+ whp... They all run the R888 or R888R...

They all used to run a drag radial, but said it was to much of a compromise in sidewall strength and the car was scary in the corners.

They claim the R888R is 90% of a drag radial in traction, but isnt scary during turns.

The truth though is you will NEVER get a 20" tire to stick at the higher HP levels... Not enough sidewall. Gotta go down to an 18" or 17" to put the power down, especially where you are talking about going. Might be time for a 17" with a drag radial that you swap around.

BUT if you want tires now, the R888R seems to be the best ticket for a compromise tire between a regular street tire and a drag radial.
