I have run 2" headers from day one. I always suggest 2" headers as well. From bolt on's to boost. I have not seen them hurt anything. I cut 1.57 60fts in my car on 28" tires and on "my" record bolt on Grand Sport we have seen 1.55 60ft's.
Switching up on this car was not my idea. I was going to leave the 1 7/8" but the owner had already ordered them when he brought the car.
