I have the Continental DWS 06, they're an awesome all season tire. However I have dedicated winter tires I put on my car for the winter months and I'm really debating on going to a summer rated tire. I only have about 17,000 miles on my car currently, split between two sets of tires.
BUT, the reason why I want to try a summer tire is I feel like I'm missing out on the top end of performance. I want to go with 305s and see if I can improve on my 0-60 time and overall have a better sticker tire for spirited driving.
I have NO issues with my continentals, but the quickest 0-60 time I can manage with my A8 is 4.5 seconds. There's a good amount of wheel spin at launch.
It's an excellent tire and has over a 500 tread wear rating, so really they're the best bang for the buck. Great mileage, but you loose some launch stickiness.
