I think Parish you're doing it the best budget "right way." I can't say I'd upgrade the rods, but really nothing wrong with doing that if you have the money.

Then from there I'd just use lt4 gaskets and lt4 head bolts.

Can I use lt4 gasket on lt1? I was told it won't be fit.
