While I understand what you're saying, a set of ID1700s and a Fore return fuel system to make 1200whp on a gen 5 Camaro would run you $4000, so spending another $900 on a piggy back controller and harness for plug and play is pretty reasonable since the other popular port injection solution is $3500 for a controller and harness only
You're just not used to seeing it packaged all in one, but that's unfortunately a necessity of the DI stuff.
