40k for a car thats already a year old and you got it during the most heavily marked up season of the year, they should have practically been begging to give it away since it was a 17 model and the 18's are out.
You EASILY could have walked off with a 6th Gen 1SS or probably even a 2SS for that price. They saw your need and played you into their hand, never never never want the car... you always have an alternative car you can get at another dealer and let them know that, they raked you man.

I actually was at $34000 out the door. My trade in at $25000- so they said plus $9000 cash on my part. Taxes tags etc out the door. They originally started at $25,000 for my trade and $13000 from me and we went from there with people getting all dramatic and jumping up outta their chairs. Me getting angry. SO eventually I gave in at $25000 for the trade and $9000 of my cash.
I hear you. I should've walked out. I had no other car on my radar. I financed and leased my last 3 cars at this dealer, and thought that might account for something. Either way I still like the car a lot. Next car I'll be more prepared.
