Right, b/c rental companies were loading V6s wholesale, which can't be left out of sells/popularity discussion.
Possibly, the V8 numbers increased for the Camaro in MY17..but that might be b/c of incentives too.
As for appeal, there's definitely something. But my whole point is arguing performance sells is completely contrary to the facts. If one's V8 is substantially better performance/cost wise, it might make the split closer like with the Camaro. But there are a lot of variables there too.
