Some have reported that there is an LT2 6.2L V-8 engine in the works rated at 485BHP and 470ft-lbs of torque. This would be no issue at all for the Gen V and would fit well considering that the Mustang GT is rated at 460BHP and the bullitt Mustang is said to produce at least 475BHP this would keep the Camaro SS 25BHP over the standard GT and 10BHP over the Bullitt (and 50ft-lbs over both).
From that stand point it makes sense and I can see, however there is a lack of evidence that such an engine exist somewhere in GM. For that reason it is something that I would want to believe however will just at this point wish it is true.
