GM did state the Manual 7 speed currently in the C7 will not fit in the 6th Gen Camaro, so I don't see them modifying the chassis mid production run to make it fit. I will however engage in pure speculation and guess it could be the Tremec TR-9007 7 speed DCT that is rumored to be in the upcoming Vette ME car and 2019 GT500. Maybe mated to the LT5 or perhaps another engine for the Z/28?
