If you want to understand why the Camaro was slowing down at higher speed calculate and compare the frontal area of both cars. If you understand much at all about aerodynamic drag it's obvious that the Camaro has more of it. I don't mind as that drag is a proponent of keeping the car cool while I run 40 minute sessions on the track. Not saying anything about the Mustang, just that the Camaro is working harder to get through the air at speed and hence it is bleeding energy...
