I can see how an M7 configured for the Corvette wouldn't fit, but the Corvette is obviously different with its rear mount transmission. The center sections of the M6 and M7 appear identical to me, are they not?
I would think with the bell housing and the tail housing from an M6 it'd fit just fine... maybe I'm wrong though.

The length of the m7 case was the issue from what I remember.
