Go to a dealership and pick any Camaro SS off the lot and you got a low 12 sec car. Go to a dealership and buy a ZL1 without ADMs and without all the other bullshit (like having to option in a damn radio etc) and you got a car with Supercar-like performance. Ford plays too many damn head games just to milk people for money.

Some of it may be a game, in garnering anticipation, but some of it is due to the product development cycle and declaring to details that they can be liable (i.e. quoting to fully finalized, production-realistic numbers).
