Okay, when I first looked at this thread and some other VINs the 1st two digits seemed like more than a coincidence. Now that you mention the limited number that the remaining digits could represent (less than 10K) that makes sense. I didn't realize the model year was coded in too (10th digit according to the GM Decoder). Sure would have been much simpler if GM had serialized the 6th Gen ZL1s like previous model years.

Still haven't found a registry for the 6th Gens. Let me know when you find a one for the 6th Gen ZL1. No one's going to read through every post of related threads just to get a vague idea of where their car stands.
