I test drove a manual before I decided on the A10 as well, while I love to grind gears the A10 is something special. The straight pull you get when running through the gears is incredible and the Performance Shifting mode when running the twisties is awesome.
It does take time to get used to the power though. This isn't a car you want to mash the throttle every time you come out of a corner or leave a light. Give it some finesse and the girl will pay back big time.
