Take a look at this picture and compare the shoulder, roof and hoodlines. The 6th Gen still resembles the lines of the first Camaro. It's just a way more modern approach that fits the new true sportcar performance that the Camaro delivers.
Facelift will go back to the big upper grille and two round rear lights per side, so I guess it will look more retro.
