When the 2006 Camaro concept came out, the designers made no apologies for the "retro", and even billed it as a modern interpretation of the original lines, and character of the car, but NOT a retro design...and I liked that.
As far as I'm concerned, leave well enough alone, and if you like retro that much - go buy an old '69...or better: build one!

I actually find the Challenger to be as close to a true modern interpretation of the same car as it was back in the day. There was a huge write up on it, how true to the original it was with the obvious safety/performance changes for the most part.
And I actually agree with how they did the 5th gen Camaro...it was the right choice IMO.
I don't want another retro car at this point, I want them to keep pushing the envelope while still remaining true to the style of car.
